Description
The GPU can be one of the most powerful pieces of hardware in a device, and they are in almost every personal device with a screen. Despite this, it's usually quite difficult to actually utilize them, requiring platform and hardware-specific considerations. Enter wgpu: Rust's low-level, yet platform-agnostic and safe GPU library. This talk will cover what wgpu is and does, how you can use it for everything from parallel computations to rendering, and walk you through how to use it starting from scratch. Additionally, we'll cover how you can compile it for use in the browser!
